Measurement experts in one operator were interested to see if the Weatherford RedEye® device could be used to detect small amounts of water in gas. With the operator, the Letton-Hall Group planned a development test program at wet-gas flow labs, and organized a Joint Industry Project (JIP) to fund the testing. In addition, the Letton-Hall Group worked oversaw Weatherford to extend the technology to a subsea version that is now available commercially.
