Production Allocation Using Wet Gas/Multiphase Metering

An operator had a requirement to define and implement an approved method of allocation for their field, located in the Peruvian jungle. Production comes from two adjacent Blocks, which are licensed with different contracts with the Peruvian Government and have different royalty rates. Well production in the field is metered with multiphase flow meters operating in wet gas mode. Because of its worldwide experience with measurement and allocation of commingled wet gas/multiphase production, the Letton-Hall Group was approached to evaluate the allocation proposed and compare it against techniques approved in other similar applications.
