Wamsutter is a gas field in southern Wyoming near the borders with Colorado and Utah, which is spread over almost 2500 square miles. BP is the largest single leaseholder, of which there are many, with some leases having the Bureau of Land Management as a stakeholder. The challenge here was to suggest strategies for measurement of these small producers – almost all at less than 100 MSCFD – that were economically reasonable, yet accurate enough for the fiscal allocation that was required. Numerous technologies were tested there.
