The Pipeline Research Council, Inc. asked the Letton-Hall Group to create a "road map" that would show a pathway for improving the operations of their members, generally gas pipeline companies. The work addressed six major areas: improvement in their primary measure of efficiency, "Lost and Unaccounted For" (LAUF) gas; reduction in their OPEX and CAPEX; increase in "Transactional Certainty" of their pipeline operations; improvements is safety; and reduction of environmental impact from their operations.
