Tom has taken his broad engineering experience in the oil and gas industry and coupled it with his hands on experience in developing, implementing, and executing complex allocations systems to become a valuable knowledge resource and innovator in the complex production allocation field. Through trouble shooting, improvising, and constantly improving processes, Tom has acquired a solid background in areas such as logic development, phase behavior based simulation models, data and sampling validation procedures, system automation and practical application. Tom shares this experience through his work in developing industry standards used in hydrocarbon production allocation.
Tom began his career as a mechanical engineer with Walk Haydel & Associates, a New Orleans engineering firm. Over the years, his work covered many fields including upstream oil and gas, oil refining, crude oil storage and transfer, and production measurement and allocation. In 2001, he joined with two partners in forming Innovative Technical Services (Intech) where he served as Principal Engineer. He spent the next 11 years with a focus on process design and complex production allocation. Since the sale of Intech in late 2011, Tom has provided process engineering services in crude oil storage and transfer while actively participating in the development of a new API standard for the application of phase behavior in upstream measurement and allocation. Tom joined the Letton Hall Group in 2014.
Tom enjoys fishing, history, and tinkering with all things mechanical and electrical. Tom and his wife Sheilah, especially enjoy traveling and exploring new places and things.
