Peter is a leading expert in midstream commercial operations, contracting, and business development.  He has been creating, interpreting, managing, amending and executing midstream agreements for three decades.  Peter also has a special expertise in midstream– marketing interfaces, midstream flow assurance, and midstream talent acquisition and development.

After receiving a BS degree with honors in Petroleum Engineering from the University of Wyoming, Peter began his career as a drilling engineer with Arco Oil and Gas Company, where he distinguished himself as a specialist and published author on the subject of horizontal drilling.  Following subsequent work as a reservoir and operations engineer in the U.S. midcontinent, Peter was elevated to a leadership role in operations management for midstream and upstream assets. Peter further developed his midstream commercial and business development expertise after moving to Vastar Resources, where he worked most onshore basins in the U.S. With BP, Peter moved to the deep-water GUulf of Mexico offshore business, where he held midstream project and commercial positions of significant responsibility, and ultimately managed BP’s Deep Water Gulf of Mexico Midstream business for 8 years. After 32 years with BP and its heritage companies, a career that spanned both the E&P and service provider sides of the midstream business, Peter began consulting for midstream clients from small independents to major international oil companies. Most recently, he was the Vice President of Operations and Midstream at Cascade Production, LLC.  Mr. Edlund joined the Letton Hall group in 2017 as a Midstream Principal Advisor.

Peter has 2 children, 4 step children and 5 grandchildren.  He and his wife Susan enjoy spending time with the grandkids, as well as searching for antiques on weekends and exploring the small towns of Texas.  Peter enjoys spending time in the Texas Hill Country at his cabin where his hobbies include wildlife and forestry management activities.
